Leorio and Kurapika joins Gon and Killua in Togashi's latest Hunter X Hunter update

Hunter X Hunter manga creator Yoshihiro Togashi gave fans a new update on his work as he added Leorio and Kurapika to his Gon and Killua illustration. The manga creator has been giving fans daily updates on his work and the illustration featuring the four main characters is the latest one.

As fans would know, Hunter X Hunter manga has been on many hiatuses due to the original creator's health issues. However, with his latest return, it seems like Togashi is adamant about keeping a steady work schedule. This is especially evident from his online activity.

Togashi's new Hunter X Hunter illustration reunites the series' four main characters

On Monday, Octover 28, 2024, Hunter X Hunter manga creator Yoshihiro Togashi posted a new update on his work through his official X (formerly Twitter) account. As seen previously, the manga creator has been working on an illustration for a few days. At first, the creator only drew Gon Freecss, but the next day he also added Killua Zoldyck to it.

Just as fans thought that the illustration was only meant to feature the duo, Yoshihiro Togashi added Leorio Paradinight to the illustration. Lastly, he added Kurapika to the illustration and showcased his full work.

This post is captioned "No.423, character inking completed.," hinting that the complete illustration was a sign that the manga creator was done character inking for Hunter X Hunter Chapter 423, and would start working on the next chapter.

As fans might remember, the manga creator had previously revealed that he was aiming to finish working on till at least Hunter X Hunter Chapter 430. Therefore, with only seven more chapters remaining in his 2024 quota, the manga creator is close to accomplishing his goal.

How fans reacted to Togashi's latest update

Most fans were left elated after seeing the illustration as it just showcased how good the manga creator was with his pen work despite facing health problems. Many fans even thanked the manga creator for adding Kurapika to the illustration.

"Thank you for adding Kurapika, Sensei!!," one fan said.

"The last time these four friends were together was nearly 23 years ago, and fans are eagerly waiting to see them together again," another added.

"After all, these four are great. I hope they get together soon," other fan said.

As for other fans, they were glad to see the four characters - Gon, Killua, Leorio, and Kurapika finally back together in an illustration. As per one fan, it has been 23 years since the last time the four characters were together in the story. With that, in mind, fans wished for the story to be tailored in such way that they get reunited in the manga as well.
